So I put a clutch in my Mom's 06 Focus, the car has 94k on it... she calls me one day saying that she couldn't shift... I found that the clutch wouldn't disengage... I just can't believe that this happened at such low miles, and is kind of an odd failure...

BTW, the fubar side is the pressure plate side, the good side is the flywheel side...

WTF???

I destroyed many clutches in my younger years but, never had one come apart on one side only.

We had a car at work that had that happen not long ago. But there was 40K on that clutch. Must have been defective.

looks like she has a heavy clutch foot
and it probably would not disengage cause it was trying to weld itself together just a guess

I don't think there is a secret to why it wouldn't disengage... I just can't believe my mom could mess one up that bad... btw she DOES know how to drive a manual...

All I know is that the clutch in the car that was FUBAR was a LUK unit with the adjusters... and the replacement OEM Clutch was a Sache...
