I got tired of the additional noise from the CAI after a few years of enjoying it. It does give you extra power in the higher RPM range but mileage is about the same since I think it makes you put your foot in it a little more :shifty:. I re-installed the OEM air filter set-up and put in the K&N replacement filter. I miss the looks of this unit under the hood...
The kit is 100% complete including all instructions etc. and is in very good shape. I bought it used off a guy that had it for a T-Bird but never installed. All you need is the K&N Recharger kit 99-5000 to re-oil (I cleaned but did not re-oil)
