FS: 01 rearview mirror w/ compass (on ebay)

jon, I'm still waiting on a total... I forgot what you told me... $40 stick in my mind, but i think that's low...

As for the mirror working on a 00, I don't know, but I do knwo that the mirror should work with just 12v and a ground... the third wire is for an override when in reverse.

yes it works with a 2000 ls. I have the auto dimming mirror with compass installed on my 2000 ls8, installed by myself, so I am positive it works. It is an easy three wire hookup (all you do is match the wiring colors up)

Changed my mirror over I think it was one of the more easiest mods. Took about 15 minutes.

Would I have the wires already tucking up in the map light area? OR is it already there with the plug tail on it?

well, at the risk of telling everyone that I also own a fiero, i though I'd post a source for these mirrors that was good for me:

I bought two self-dimming mirrors from this guy and am Very happy with the transactions AND the mirrors. (1) was with compass and (1) was without, and if I can hook these things up in a fiero with little problems, there should be NO PROBLEM hooking them up in a Lincoln LS. :) At this point, I think he even has the self-diming mirrors with garage door oopeners, etc.

from what I remember, the most important thing for installing is that the mirror ONLY get power when the car is "ON". I actually hooked up the mirror without the compass to get power when the headlights come on, so the mirror comes on automatically with the headlights when it's dark and the dimming function is needed :).
