I went in and had a friend rotate my tires and he said the front Tie Rods need to be replaced... so I took it to a place and they wanted 50 for the parts... and then 150 for labor... for each side... that sounds kinda high... I was just curious... I was gonna go Moog if I do it myself... looks pretty straight forward... anything that makes it hard?... or anything I should be aware of?... and thanks again guys you guys are awesome!

It's very straight forward, the only special tool you need is a pickle fork, but they can be bought for under $20.

The biggest thing to pay attention too is how much you thread them on affects toe, so make not of where the old ones were and make sure the new ones are in the same position.

The only thing I would not otherwise is that if you tie rods are worn I would closely inspect everything else, with our front suspensions they seem to wear fairly evenly so check the lca's, uca's, strut rod bushings, etc....

Actually if you go to an Advance or Autozone shop you can put down a deposit on the tool and get it refunded when you bring it back. The price that was given to you may not be such a bad price if you are also going to get 4 four wheel alignment included. I would ask.

No it doesn't come with wheel alignment and it's just the fronts... so I don't think it's really that great of a deal... I have a friend that will align my wheels for 30 bucks so that's not a problem... he works at a mercedes dealership... they allow them to do alignments and light stuff but won't let them put any other car on the racks... but I could go there and use them... kinda dumb... the techs can't but they can let someone else do it if they want... don't really understand the logic... but if it's not hard I think I could handle it
