I have an '02 LS, V-8. After the car is driven a while, and only when making left turns, I get a groan (squall) on the right front wheel. I also have a small clunk on both front tires, when going over road bumps.
I've checked the ball joints and don't see any problems. I do see that the RF, stabilizer link, upper bushing is torn badly, and is probably bad. Can this cause the noise?

Stabilizer Bushings and End Links are Bad

Ordered 2 Moog K80261 links for $29 ea + $9 shipping from RockAuto.com

I started the job of changing the end links. When I pulled the first one off, I found that I could move the stabilizer bar by hand and see the play in both the frame bushings. I couldn't see this movement on my previous inspection. I put the old end link back on until I order a new stabilizer bar. I don't trust using the aftermarket bushings after reading some of the posts about fit and bar movement.

So NOTE: If you suspect the clunk at your wheels of being the stabilizer bar, remove one end link to check for movement in the two bushings, mounted to the frame. That's the only true way to test, unless they are just destroyed. Mine were in place and movement was not noticeable when everything was bolted up.

'02 LS V-8 135k miles. Just changed the clock-spring and multifunction switch (turn signal stalk) also.
