I just got my car back from the stealership. I had no reverse. Control Assembly + Labor was just over 1200. what a deal.

Anyhow...While they had it up, they noticed my front stabilizer and end links are shot. Which is why I am hearing the rattling. They quoted me at 500.. but when i searched for the parts and am getting mixed results.. it looks like the "links" are only 30 bucks http://www.conquestauto.com/servlet/the-7125/2000-dsh-2006-Lincoln-LS-Front/Detail .. but I dont know exactly what I am looking for. This can't be all that I need is it?

If anyone knows what parts I should buy please let me know..

Yes, the links are cheap (and you have them pictured correctly), and take about 10 minutes to install (taking for granted you have a spreading fork to remove the old ones). For the price quoted, they must be including the stabilizer bar also (and are still trying to rob you).

at the risk of sounding retarded.. where is the bar? I keep searching for it and all I find is what I linked to in my previous post. Look like a bar to me :D

The picture I saw was just for the sway-bar link. These link the wheel itself to the sway bar that runs across the bottom of the car from one side of the front suspension to the other.

and sway bar bushings, you may not even need the bar unless the holes where the links go in are worn out, so you may just need end links and sway bar bushings

just take to another mechanic and dont tell him what the last one said, and get another quote
