So I was replacing the upper control arms today and I somehow broke my shock. I'm soo pissed about it because now my car is sitting in my driveway with one side of the front suspension torn apart. Nowhere has these shocks instock? I guess I should replace both fronts right?

The lincoln dealer was closed so I will be trying them tomorrow at 7am. advanced, autozone, napa, pepboys, bennetts, tropical, all say they can have it next day, wth , I need to use my car tomorrow afternoon!!

I hate when this crap happens.....

The only aftermarket shocks and struts available now are from Monroe and general consensus here is that they SUCK. Ford is the only place to go. Be careful not to mix different shock types also. If the car is a sport. Stay with sport shocks....etc.

ok, well I just put the Monroe on one side and the other side will be done in a day or so. It has a lifetime warranty I guess so w/e, its better than a broken one.

I am looking to do lowering springs on my car next and I plan on replacing all of my shocks. I am looking for better handling and to stiffen up the ride a bit. I don't think that my car is a sport but would going with the sport shocks be a better choice for what I want to do?

Sport shocks will give you a firmer ride and improve your handling. There is also the option of the euro shocks which are even firmer than the sports. I have sprint 1.75" lowering springs on my sport LS but I'm going to replace them with the euros soon.

I too would like to know if you found Euros. As far as I know they are NLA. Sure wish someone out in Cali would drop by Bilstein to find out why their new shocks for the Jag S seies will not fit.

IIRC different mounting points. Don't ask why or how, that's just what I remember.

That is what I have been told, but they will not say how they are different. It might be modifiable to fit. The suspension is not that different when comparing in pictures.

Where are they located? I am in San Diego.

My car needs new sway bay bushings, links, ball joints and inner tie rod ends. I want to redo the whole suspension to bring that new sport car feeling back. So I wanted to see if anyone has tried the Euros, how they perform, whats the driving feeling difference from the regular sport package ones.
I also wanna have Sprint springs if I can find them, if not I will use eibachs.

I had the euro shocks with the Springtech springs. They handled very well. The ride was, well, truck-like.

Did u ever drove a stock ls sport? how much of a difference between sports and euros??? A little harder or way harder?? Handling???

Thanks!
