one of my kids reclined the front passenger seat on the 98 conti about 3/4 flat. The seat will recline more if I push the 'down' button, but doesnt move when I push the 'up' button. Has anyone experienced that....and what was the fix?

Check under the seat with a flashlight to see if something fell between the tracks or the seatbelt. I had the middle belt fall inbetween the seats in my Continental and it kept the seat from moving backward, but it could still move forward...

kinda sounds like the contacts on the switch have failed to.might try taking the switch apart and cleaning it real good and making sure you get contact by using a meter :L

If you take the switch apart, use some dielectric grease on the contacts before you put it back together.
