So i finally got a ticket for no plates in the front and i gotta get it fixed, problem is i have no mount in the front. Will this work for my 2000 LS? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-...42611QQitemZ4643232917QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

Also does this require drilling because i want to take it off right after and dont want holes in my bumper. Cars in the shop getting my front bumper painted as we speak so any help would be great. Thanks!!

I have a factory plate holder in my basement. It does have to screw into the bumper. Let me know if you want it.

the stock holder (like the one in the e-bay listing) rivets into the front bumper

Two quick points.

1. That mount says its for a 2006 model. Yours is a 2000. I'm not sure if there are any differences in the bumpers between the 00-02 and 03+ models that would cause fitment issues with this bracket. You may want to check that out.

2. As an alternative to drilling, you could use double sided mounting tape to secure the bracket to the bumper. On my 03 and 06 cars, the bracket fits pretty well, and it seems like the drill/rivets are a bit of overkill as a fastening means. I think for this "temporary" setup, you could get away with some tape. Note that the bracket fastens to the bumper, and the plate fastens to the bracket. To a regular observer, you would not notice the tape at all, unless someone yanks hard on the bracket.

My stock holder was held on by screws. I removed it and filled the holes when I had the body kit installed.

Mike, I don't know if the 03 and up holder will fit, but the 00-02 one has some clip like plastic endings that clip to the grill of the bumper and they hold em pretty tight. When I get a ticket I just put it on like that and drive the car to CHP to get it signed off then remove it.

I do have the holes filled in so I don't want to drill the bumper.

Damn!!! I really dont want to drill my bumper. Any other ideas?

The two sided tape that was mentioned would work. Silicone would hold it temporarily...and probably come off fairly easy.
