3 weeks later my front end is done. I left out the inner/outer tierods because they looked to be in damn good shape, the alignment shop reiterated that as well.

But now I have a squeal/squeak from the drivers side front tire. It only stops when I hit the brake. I had to take the rotor and caliper and all of that off when I replaced my broken stud, so maybe something happened there. I'm going to take the wheel off and check everything out, spray some brake cleaner, etc. What could this be?

On the bright side, I have my Mark back! Next steps are to find a shop that'll do my exhaust for me and check out the a/c.

Thought that was it so I checked it first. It was close but not touching the rotor, but I don't understand how that would make the noise and when I hit the brake it wouldn't.

It also is faster at higher speeds and lower at lower speeds. I'm assuming its something with my rotor, maybe its warped or something. I used brake cleaner on the rotor and sprayed some wd-40 on the wheel bearing, which helped....for a few miles.

Took the wheel off, cleaned surface grime off the teeth of the wheel bearing. When I took off the wheel I could not readily spin the rotor. I probably messed something up hammering in the new stud. It's just annoying. I'll just end up replacing both wheelbearings and hubs....no not cobra ones, yet haha.

could be hubs or maybe even the brake pads are loose between the caliper and rotor when you are off the brakes.

After driving around tonight some more thats what I'm thinking. I'm not sure what to do now.

you can take your pads off grease up the sliders, and they make some goopy stuff that you put on the backs of your pads to go between the caliper piston and the pad to make them quiet. I know we always did that when I worked at a dealership.

Thats what I'm thinking....I know very little about brakes, the caliper separated so I had to put it back together. Its annoying more than anything, the brakes are working fine (for now?). I get sick because everytime I fix something another thing breaks

That's how it feels! *knock on wood* At least my air ride isn't giving me hell. I read on here about people using the mustang gt calipers and those fit just as stock would but they're dual pistons or w/e. As usual when something breaks I'll do my research and learn as much as possible and make a decision, that may be a good route for me though depending on what's involved.

I am trying to get a nice set of cobra brakes but every time I find some on corral or stangnet people dont get back to me.
