I dont know what to do at this point.

I replaced all of the front ed parts with all MOOG parts. Lower control arms, uppers, Thrust arm bushings. new ball joints came with those.
New tie rod 1. Struts are less than a year old from Arnott, which doesn't say much.

My problem is, that the steering wheel feels weird going over bumps as if there is bump steer. Just doesnt feel solid at all. While holding the steering wheel,
hand is acting as a dampener. Now I know this is not a BMW but I dont think it should drive like this after all the parts I have replaced.

Tire pressure at 32psi. Car slightly lowered. Alignment done 3 times already at a very reputable shop that takes their time.
The only thing I can think of is the Arnott struts not doing their job.

One starting making clunking noise after a month so I know their quality is not that good.
Our roads in NYC are horrible, especially after this winter so this is very annoying. I sold my 95 mark VIII 6 years ago due to similar problems, I got sick of it. I love this car dearly and want to get it running right.
Any ideas??? Start with FORD struts and go from there? Or should I get those front BRACES that some of the guys are running here??

Thanks!

Get the ford struts. The clunking strut is most likely causing you're problem.

Regardless of your clunk noises, you can't go wrong with the support braces.
My Arnotts are about a year old and still holding up, the supports might be a factor, but who knows.

Thank you. I was suspecting Arnott struts and now I am sure that is where the problem is.

Have you called Arnott to see if they are going to stand by their warranty and see if they will send you replacements first?

Here is the problem I bought the car in August. Previous owner replaced front struts with Arnott units in April. Sometime in October the left strut started making clunking sound. Arnott would not replace it under warranty since I am not the original buyer of those struts, even though they are only 6 month old.
So I replaced my left strut with a new one from them. Everything was fine for 2 weeks, thats when the right side strut started making the same clunking sounds. At this point I want nothing to do with that company.
They are thinking that as long as people with air suspensions get a bag that holds air everything will be OK.

Ill be buying factory struts sometime soon and be done with this crap. I rebuilt the whole front end with all new MOOG parts hoping to tighten up the car and make it feel new again.

I should buy the Ford OEMs while they still sell them. Have to wonder how long they have been sitting on the shelf, in terms of dry rot.

Why do you think? Ways to check if its damaged?
I dont feel a particular free play...

Because you posted this.

I dont know what to do at this point.

OEM bags should take care of any issue.

If not replace the steering joint.
It's a nice upgrade no matter what the reason is.

DLF has them here is a link.

You can tell if it is bad by looking at it.
It looks like this.
