Got a 1.5" lowering kit but only want to do the fronts for now. I heard you match up the height sensor to the drop of the springs to throw off the air ride messege. But What do you do with the air line/solinoid?

uhh you cut a wire to turn the message off and you can do whatever you want with the selonoid, hang it, rip it off, burn it..... lol

If I was going to do that, I'd wire up a switch to adjust the rear airsprings when needed.

In the up position, the switch would activate the rear solenoids and the compressor. In the down position the switch would activate the rear solenoids and the vent valve. The center position would do nothing.

I've seen this done before.

I think you have to epoxy a screw or similar item into the air line if you only do the front then you need to match the sensors up.

I would just do the front & back at the same time.

I just want to keep the rear to keep it a mark viii still. Plus i heard the rears sag/bottom out with some weight bag there. Once i get a job i'll prob go back to the air ride.

If you want to go back to air in the future, I'd wrap the solenoid valves in some thick plastic and move them to protect them from the elements.

Then you could de pin the solenoid wires at the air ride module plug. The solenoids will stay closed then.

This way you don't cut amy wires or hoses.:)

You are right about the rear sagging with some wieght in it, I think it sags without any wieght in it with coils! That's why I used different rear coils.

Hey I have a dumb question why can't you just use these?

If you wanted your car to be lowered you should be able to get springs from Eibach. I know they used to make them. We had a couple TB SC's when I worked for the Bondurant School that had Eibachs on them. Not trying to take away any Bizz from anyone on here but it appears that these would work and may cost less.
