Doing brakes on the 94,

Using a clamp to squeeze the caliper piston back, to allow clearance for new pads+rotors.

The piston will move in, then when pressure is released on the clamp - the piston slides out.

The cap is off the fluid reservoir under the hood.

What I've done for now, is put the old pads back on (1/8" left), but obviously a mismatched setup isn't good, and I have a new set of pads for the new rotor.

Halp!

The back one?

You need the tool to rotate it...

Nope, front. And you can use a clamp w/pliers to get the rears to turn in.

Figured it was the bleeder screw - didn't want to touch that in case it snaps off. They're pretty old+cruddy.

Anyways, took it for a spin after doing the rears - a caliper is seized ON. Old rotor was rusty, no real contact with pads.

Time for a new caliper on the rear, will try cracking the front. Has to wait till Monday, nobody has a rear caliper in this town.

it should squeeze back in and stay, dont open the bleeder to push it back in, it will only mask the real problem you have.
try this drive the car around then let it sit for a few min, then open the bleeder. i bet fluid will spray out, seeping out is ok but shouldn't be under pressure. if it sprays out its a bad brake hose, they collapse internally and allow fluid to be forced into the caliper but there isnt enough psi to push the fluid back out.
