Can you put a 2004 front bumper on a 2000? If so how much would it cost? I think someone said there will be a gap but im not sure. Thanks guys :)

yea you can and yea use the search and if you keep pre 03 headlights there will be a small gap between the bumper and the headlights but you can get 03+ headlights to get rid of the gap and yea use the search

yeah, about that search function. It's just so bland. I can tell from experience it is a lot more fun getting the answer, and ten post suggesting the search option. :D

How about we get rid of the NEW THREAD option, and just make this site a big search engine. Nothing better than searching for an answer and getting it from someone who hasnt posted in a year. We could call it loogle or lahoo. Ill let the administrators know to get rid of them asap. I understand searches, but it seems every technical question ends up in 10 do a search responses, hell lets not even talk about new sh1t, New people may not know how to use this site, also, many of the prior posts dont always answer the questions. Problems usually take a step by step process to figure out. Fu<k for that matter, go buy a Chiltons manual and quit using this search engine.

Im with hot rod and decibels, let people put in new posts asking questions. There may be someone who just joined who may be able to better answer a question. If all you want people to do is click search than just shut down the forum and write an online manual.

As for the bumper im looking at doing this in the next month or so as well. There will be a little gap under the headlights when you do. I think there is a pic of what it looks like on ls koncepts.

IMHO, if you are going to take the time to put the newer bumper on, get the new style headlamps too. They look a lot nicer than the old.

Thats what im probably gonna do. But im going to do it in stages. Ill start with just the bumper and get it all painted and everything, then after ill look into the lights.

Also a question about the lights, besides getting the newer bracket, does anyone know if i can get the 03+ HID headlamps and put them into my 01 that didnt come with the HID's? Cause i have a hid kit but would kinda like the factory stuff.

They are expensive. I remember like $500 a piece when I looked at replacing mine because of the lens being a little foggy. Luckily mine has them stock. :D

Thats why im hoping to find them on ebay lol. but do you know if they would plug into my factory harness? do they have the ballast built in?

there is a gap you can stick your little finger in when you install the later bumper. i don't have one cuz i filled it in. i do bodywork and paint for a living, but any decent bodyman with common sense could fill the gap. it would probably be a lot cheaper than buying new headlights. i don't have any pictures of mine now, but i'll post some and show it not having a gap. it could definately be done better but i was drunk and in a big hurry when i did it. ill post some pics in a day or so.

Here is a picture of my filled in bumper gap.
it's far from perfect but i was in a hurry so
don't laugh. gonna fix it right later.
and how bout that humidifier headlight.

yeah no problem, i actually filled in the gap with the headlights out.

How much should something like that cost if I had a body shop do it? I need to replace my bumper and if filling in those gaps isn't too expensive, I might go with a 03+ bumper.

well, i actually work at a bodyshop. i'd probably say about 500 bucks to fill the gap and paint the bumper, if the bumper was new.

Guys but the gap is not that noticable, i looked at the pictures at LS Koncepts and it dosent look that bad. Im going with the 2006 LSE bumper and im leaving the gaps. Just my 0.02

Where can you find the 2006 LSE front bumper for the best price? Also do the 04, 05 LSE front bumpers look the same?
