So I hit a snow bank last month and rather than go through insurance I'd like to fix it myself. I'm under 25 so my insurance isn't cheap as it is. I found a guy with a 2000 LS parts car. The bumper looks to be in decent shape but I'm not sure if it will fit on my 04' LS. I also had a tire blow out last weekend, 3 20" rims and a donut looks awful!!

It will fit but not directly. Do a search for conversions you will also need gen 1 headlights and fogs for it to look right but it will mount to the car

I think there will be fitment issues. I know if you put a gen 2 bumper on a gen 1 there is a gap between the headlights and the bumper which would lead me to believe the gen 1 bumper is smaller. Bigger you can work with generally, smaller you're SOL. Not 100% though

Well thanks for the warm welcome. I'm sorry I don't really have time to be filtering through threads about bumpers. Coincidently I did find one about a situation opposite of mine where a guy needed to know if a 04 would fit a 00 but I thought i'd make sure by posting a 00 bumper to 04 thread. Sorry for any inconvinience I may have caused you.

Are your Headlights and Header Panel(Panel behind the bumper cover which the Headlights mount to) okay? If so, a simple gen 1 bumper swap / gen 1 fog lights swap and you are on your way.

more work than its worth to try to put a Gen 1 bumper on. Go an ebay or search your local c-list.
