I got abit of a problem with my front breaks. I got a sort of rubbing sound from them when you go between buildings or somewhere where the sound can get amplified by bouncing of walls and stuff. The breaks aren't squealing or anything, they just have a slight ticking/rubbing sound. also when I back into my parking spot and use the breaks to stop, it sounds like there's a metal wire clicking against something, like when you stick a hanger into a floor fan. Any suggestions or knowledge of experience with this problem is greatly appreciated. :)

Thanks for everybody's input in advance.... 03 V8 sport

Some people accidently bend the shield behind the rotor and another parts in that area and it hits, I dont really remember what it was. How long ago did you get new pads? Either your brakes are bad and thats the low brake pad alarm they have, a small rock jumped in there or something similar, or your pad is in pieces like one of NYC LS8 pad's were a while back

You have brakes to stop the car. When you drop a glass on the floor, it might break.

Have you pulled the wheels off and checked to see how much pad (inside and outside) that you have remaining?
Checked to see if the caliper slides aren't binding?
Checked to see if the spring clips are still in place?
Verified the condition of the rotors?

Front Brakes

Hi. Im reletively new to this forum, but I thought I might be able to offer a suggestion. I once noticed a ticking sound from one of my wheels and it turned out to be a clip that sits on the caliper bracket. It was rubbing against the top of the rotor. I gave it a slight bend and it went away. I dont know if that will help, but its something to look into.

Thats exactly what it sounds like. the clip on the caliper bracket... and maybe the dust shield, thanks I'll get right on that and see what's up
