OK...I thought I could figure it out, but I can't.

On my 94 Mark, the front air ride goes up fine and stays inflated. the problem is once I start driving it drops down all the way. I'm trying to find the height sensor or how the front establishes ride height.

I'm sure there's an expert in the group.

Help!!

around town it's gradual. Out on the highway, when the air ride controler kicks in to lower the car, it just keeps going lower.

I turned the controller off one time to see if the bags held.....and the still dropped. Maybe I got bad bags??? but for both bags to go out at once.
I also let me son drive for a month...maybe jr. screwed it up. *&^&** kids!

I've been contemplating converting to springs. Where did you get your front kit from?

thanks

Well i just went through this ,my bags were fine around town but as soon as i got on the highway and they lowered it would drop. The problem was it would leak after it reached a certain point on the bag.Im thinking take them off and inspect them, mines had small cracks its usually were the bag creases and folds.I went through this a couples times with my cars and my buddies.

that means the solenoid inside the compressor is leaking.

and if it leaks down with the system turned off as well..then that means you also haved leaking bags.

sorry to say

Bags are leaky, thats a given. The leak form at folds in the rubber. At highway height the fold is almost an inch from the original in town heigh. Probably a crack along there. The problem is that when the supsension bouces around, even in town, that fold is exposed and air gets out. But since its not folded there ALL the time the crack is "sealed" up and the compressor can keep the bags full. One your on the highway that crack is more exposed for a longer time and the compressor can not keep up.

As for the vent solenoid, it may or may not be an issue. Hard to tell for certain this one is.
