hmmm...where 2 start. other than u got me wrong bout all this i dont have much 2 say. tint laws suck here...theres no way around a cop that has nothing better 2 do than get sum1 4 tint. theres crack dealers n hookers less than a mile from where i get pulled over n theyre worried bout a kid in a dark LS. i dont mind a fine...i actually wouldve quickly volunteered 4 it. i didnt get fined...i got a court date. if there was a way to pay outta this i would...instead im payin 2 take the tint off just 2 put it back on days later. bout the rims...i do have the only ones. im not showing pics cuz then i just might not b the only 1 with them anymore. come 2 va n we'll talk then...in the mean time, use ur imaginations. im out...

275 dollars??? wtf. shop around dude. dont pay more than $200 for tint. i had mine done for $100.
 
yeah tint shops are getting crazy there, I paid 150 for all the windows excpet for the windsheild, then it only cost me about 50 or so for the windshield. I wouldnt pay more then 150 for the tint on any car,

100 bucks for tints??? wow, most places by me said around 220. i think the best i found was about 175 but that was a little further away.

as for tint laws...in jersey, cant have anything in the front.

What a bunch of mindless sheep are on this forum. Everyone of you sheep that's giving the poster grief over his tint, go back to your sheep pen and listen to the sheep herder, it seems to be all you're good at. Bunch of police state lovers of god complexes with badges, the lot of ya. Cops suck, period, they ARE god complexes with badges and not looking out for your best interests.

Tint violator? That's not even a LAW, its some bloody statute or regulation or whatever the state calls it, and the guy putting too much tint in his car? A rule breaker maybe (I like him already) but a criminal guilty of committing a crime? HAAAAA, no way.

i agree...the world would really be a much better place without cops....

how are people criticizing this guy sheep??? he is trying to provide the court with fake evidence for a minor infraction. sure, if i got a ticket for tints, i wouldnt be happy about it. i would probably even be a little pissed off. but he knew the law (or at least should have), decided to go with the tints anyway, go t caught, and now must pay the (very minor) price.

The traffic variety of badge is the type I 'personally' have a lifetime of issues with and since this an automotive forum, therein lies my frame of reference. Those that see duty other than traffic (and I don't find it easy to admit this) actually have a job and fill a quantified niche. Oh, and BTW, I never supported the (ooooooohhh) tint violator's idea of using someone elses pictures to get off the hook, whoever thinks that is imagining things.

When I was younger and had no experience I always wondered about Mick Jaggers infamous line when he said "every cop is a criminal". Many decades later and being a very focused, serious driver who has faced countless badges, I now understand and know many especially here in Arizona that agree. They thrive on conflict and will lie, distort and inflate any situation to suit their ends. Textbook abuse of power. I'm not saying every ticket I ever got was a lie, that's not the case. But I didn't deserve 1/10th of them and enough have been trumped up after being profiled for driving sporty looking cars all my life to justify my position. AND before someone makes the idiotic suggestion of why I don't drive something more like sheep drive, I'll nip that one now, I'd basically be letting them tell me what I can and cannot drive. Like that's going to happen......

Anyone supportive of the badges can go ahead and party with'em, talk them up, give them your 'thin' support here etc......it doesn't buy you any points unless you're one of 'them' anyway.

Back it up w/ some specific examples. After all, you now undertand that "all cops are criminals" right? Explain how you didn't deserve 90% of the tickets you got. Here's an idea...stop being a douche bag and take some responsibility for your actions.

If you didn't deserve it then fight it in court. Oh wait let me guess, all judges are criminals too. Then maybe take it up with your state legislators...but then again most elected officials are pretty crooked. Go to the media?Hmmm, on second though you should probably just pack it up and move to Canada or something.

Just because you express your disdain for police doesn't make you some trend setter non-conformist. Truth be told you're probably more of a follower than most other people in this forum anyway.

Traffic cops are a waste of time and training.

A more valid example of why our society doesn't really need traffic cops is simple economics. Don't let the drive around, they waste gas. They sit and wait for someone to drive by speeding. What are they doing while sitting and waiting: idling, letting the AC cool their fat pigglet bodies. But when something real happens (shooting last Sunday night around 12:30) what do they do, drive past with their spotlights, stop a car that doesn't match the description of the car I gave ( car they stopped=MAROON Toyota Camry; actual getaway car=SILVER Mitsubishi Gallant), did they catch the guy? NO. After i told them I saw the shooter and his accomplice return to the scene on foot, and started walking away to the South, what did they do, they told me they would get back in their cars and drive around to try and find them. Then they stood around in a circle, like a group of high school kids, talking for about 10 minutes. Stupid mistake, they needed to follow the trail of the suspects right then and there. If they hadn't wasted time training them to stop a speeder they'd had more time to learn about real police work.

Pay the fine, but write a letter to your legislator and make an attempt to better the system rather than complain about it from the outside.
 
I am not a cop, and I have had my run ins with them, all car guys have. However, my next door neibhor is a cop on Mercer Island, which is a small island in the middle of Lake Washington. Very small community, and quiet for the most part, but he said they catch more fellons than the detectives, because of pulling people over for...yep, you guessed it....tints, missing front license plates, lighting problems, and other seemingly innocous infractions.
I will say this, they certainly have some bad guys in their ranks, but for the most part, they are just a bunch of "jocks", and we all hated the "jocks" in school, but they werent really that bad...my apologies to all you jocks out there, but you guys get the idea.
