Hi!

Does anyone use forscan to do a KOER test on lincoln ?
And
Can you do funcional test?

I would like to do a funcional test for Pressure control solenoids.

2001 Lincoln LS v8

Best regards!

I purchased a Forscan cable (USB) with the CAN switch, but I was never able to get it to work with the LS. I could get it to work with my Ranger but never tried function testing since everything on that car is fine.

  • So you even can't read any parameter?
  • connection does not work for you?
  • which LS model do you own?
  • Do you use forscan for phone or PC?

Its on a PC Windows 8.1. It keeps giving me "unable to connect, turn ignition switch on" even though the ignition switch is on.

Try using wifi obdlink they are a bit pricey but i have no issues with connections

I use it often and you can do pcm functions tests
Hi @Driggy ,
Ty for reply there is no much info about Lincoln ls and forscan.

Your message is very helpful ,

Now I have the pressure gauge, forscan+ elm327. just need time to do it.
Best regards

Email their support, they are pretty responsive. They helped me with an advancetrac issue. It took a few days (and two file revisions) for them to develop the fix but it worked. I typically use blue tooth and android phone for logging and codes, but my laptop had no bluetooth so I used a wifi adapter and PC and their special temporary license. Have to have PC to run their files.

Ford KOEO and KOER self test, using 'other' software.

Test Vehicle: 2004 Lincoln LS V8
Complaint: Limp mode due to ignition coil misfire issues.

Forscan offers identical test.
