For nostalgic reasons-i have decided to put phone in car-what does the base that phone sits on connect to. I have the base that swivels-with working phone (as in power running to phone-not really working working...but working ;) )
Just want to know if anybody has the base secured correctly and what it looks like-I think I might be missing something-a picture of the base and how it attaches to the passenger side area would be great. Just a bit lost as usual i am.

Thanks mk7 owners

...

i have searched and found great thread on here about the phones-but in the pics (unless im not seeing correctly) there is no shot of how the assembly mounts to passenger side.
I dont know how it mounts exactly....

Mounting A Cellular Phone

Our Lincoln Mark VIIs received three types of phones: Ford installed, Dealer installed, and Aftermarket. The aftermarket and Dealer installed phones were normally installed on the passenger's side of hump with a cradle higher than the shifter. I have even seen them installed in the dash, just right of the steering wheel <scary>. Your best bet would be to look on eBay or Craig's list for one from a Town Car as they had MANY more of them produced. An example would be similar to what was installed in HIZHONOR's SE (http://thelincolnmarkviiclub.org/Gallery/chairmans-new-ride)

The Factory cell(ular) phone was installed in the third glove box.
