So i take my eibachs to get installed and they call me and say they are haveing trouble with the front springs. So i drive all the way down there and the spring does sit at a sightly different angle than the stock ones...But, nothing too much that cant be lined up. So the mechanic that was working on it says he wont touch it no more cuz hes scared that the spring will fly out while hes and working with it.......So, another employee there looks at it and says that the ford explorer springs are the same way and said he could do it no prob and that the other mechanic is just a cry baby ( his words ) and when things dont go smooth he gives up..WOW things on cars rarely go smooth soim wondering why they hired him.. Hopefully this guy can get it done so i can post pics later

Is that not what spring compressors are meant for?

Should have just searched for the DIY, rented the needed tools from Auto Zone and did it yourself.

That's not Ford, it's some winnie butt mechanic that has only worked on imports or Chevys.

I should have done it myself, thats what i told them lol. Just didnt have the time or patience. Hopefully all goes well. i looked for a detailed install at eibach.com found nothing but tech tips... Its just weird when u have to tell a mechanic " they are made for this car " and he says it wont work

A lot of places hate aftermarket modification parts. Try going to a body shop to install an aftermarket body kit. They whine like babies too, since they never fit quite right.

oh no i agree with you. They whine more than they should. If they don't like what they're doing, quit.

Right .lol. Latest update is the other mechanic i spoke of earlier got it done im just waiting on alignment should bedone by 4pm central.

you dont even need the spring compressor until the shock and spring are out of the car. that guy is not too bright. he probably removed the nut on the shaft of the shock before it was out of the car.
