For those with a tune ? about adding performence mods after tune...

The question I have is does anything have to be done to a custom tune when adding exhaust or a CAI or both? I have a custom tune on my LS & had the Magnaflow exhaust done & I'm going to be doing a CAI as well so is the tune ok as it is?

As that question of your tuner, they can tell you if a change is needed.

Most people have the mod done first then the tune.

stallone - do the mods first, then get the tune and tell the tuner what has been done to the car

OP the tune will still work fine but there may be a small room for improvements by adjusting the tune.


a canned tune wont make much difference, but a dyno tune may show more improvements

the PCM does have a certain amount of variance it can adjust for - and for the bolt-ons mentioned it's well within that range. As said above - to finely tune it on a dyno - then mods first.
