my friend has some foose speedsters in a 5x114 lug pattern hes selling them for $550 with tires!!! from his ex's car. shes a mean ass bitch so this is his revenge. i was wondering if i can get em redrilled to ls specs and put them on?

You can definately do it, but I wouldn't recommend it and most people wouldn't recommend it, unless its your sunday car and you don't do much driving I wouldn't do it. A good idea for you would be to buy them, then turn around and put them on ebay, make yourself a quick dollar.

That's just what I've heard and I wouldn't want to try it, imagine hitting a huge pothole and your rim falling off. They also make spacers that can change the offset(if im not mistaken) but again, this is weak.

is ur car a daily driver? and what pattern was it redrilled from?

What about filling in the existing holds via welding, and redrilling?

I don't know how it works with aluminium, but with other steels the weld is stronger than the original metal.

I wouldn't be too concerned with drilling in a new set of holes, just do it perfectly centered between the existing holes. There'll still be about 1" of material between holes, and bolt holes are only 1/2" anyways.
