fog lights

i can not find any bulbs for my fog lights, im wanting some high wattage blue tinted bulbs to match all my other lights. any luck guys?

I just used the same 9005 buld from my headlamps in place of the 9145 in the fogs. Work fine.

that works good thank you sooo much my lights all looked damn good and bright except my crappy fogs now it all looks good!

FWIW, be careful if you're using 9005's in an '03+ LS... IIRC one person reported that the high wattage bulbs melted the fog light on his car. '03's and up have much smaller lense areas and I suspect are much hotter with the 9005 bulbs in there. 9005's on the '00-'02's fogs will be fine though. Just wish someone made a true amber bulb for them.

yep i melted my driver's side lens on my 03 by using a high beam lamp in there.

I'e used wagner laser blue 9005s in my fogs since March. Haven't had a problem yet. Knock on wood.

I'm a little lost here. Is there a "cool factor" involved with foglights? I dont ever even think about turning them on, the lights turn on themselves and i drive away. I guess its ok to blind oncoming drivers or something?

Well, I drive on enough unlit back roads that the fog lights are an important 'feature' of the car. When I first got it and changed the regular lights to Silverstars, putting on the fogs created a strange tint to the lighting.

So when I bought the hoen bulbs I made sure that I got the 9005's for the fogs as well.

By the way, you will not be blinding other drivers since the fog light pattern is down and wide immeditately in front of you and they turn off with the high beams.

Safety reasons i understand, also I can buy the back road deal, but i have a feeling not too many are driving under those conditions. Again, it must be cool or something (ie colored bulbs?)

well, I would not consider the Hoen bulbs to be colored,
they are brighter and whiter than the standard halogens that most cars get as oem.
The whiter light has a bluish tinge to it, but it is not Blue.

It just makes the standard lights look very dim and sickly yellow.

Some states are very anal about the tint of the output of the bulbs (NJ is one of them), but the Hoens pass as standard white with no issues.

I've used them for a couple of years without any problems and the fact that they are so much brighter without needed more power is great when dealing with electrically challenged vehicles (like my Honda Motorcycle).

If you saw the hoen's without seeing another car with oem lights, you would just think that they are good and bright.

NICE!! I really like the way those tinted fog lights look. Especially with the eyebrows and the blacked out grill. Nice ride, quite unique.

The Lazer Blues I was talking about don't really put out a blue light (the name is misleading) but they are slightly tinted blue to produce a nice white light. I have a pic posted with a Lazer blue on the passenger side and a 9145 on the drivers side somewhere on here. It is very nice to have the extra light. Southeast Missouri isn't exactly known for keeping its roads painted.

i live in sw mo so i drive alot of backroads too, and my lights i bought are a bright white with only a little blue, it helps when your on a road with no street lights
