Hate to sound stupid, but is it worth going the dealer, or is it as easy as replacing a brake light???

it's super easy. jack the car up a little, it makes it that much easier. there are 3 screws on the gen 1's i believe. they are long screws so be patient. on a scale from 1-10 i'd rate it a 1 3/4, LOL.

Grab a beer too. one was kind of frustrating for me. Mine had fogged up, and I pulled it to use a fan to get the moisture out. One of the screws was kind of a beotch to reach.

You may have to drop the splash shield too, don't remember though.

LOL, i always grab a beer no matter what i do to my car Pete. if i could drink at the gas station while filling her up i'd do so :p

I can just reach up under the car to get to mine. 06 is the LSE still bumper/fogs though so YMMV. Harderst part was sylvania website had the wrong bulb listed. I found out the hard way H10s don't want to fit where H11s should be.

I thought he was asking about changing the lens assembly.

But yeah, if it's just changing the bulb, just reach on up there.
