i've had my hid kit on my fogs for well over a year and a half. i've never had issues with them, but recently my fuse for my fogs keeps frying. i checked the manual and it is in fact a mini 15 fuse. when i install it it works fine but recently it's been blowing out very quickly (span of 3 days this last time). can anyone help me?

Hi Rick, I know we have the same Fog brand but had no idea the manual said 15-mini. I am running the 10 amp fuse which I thought was right. well sorry if I am no help just thought the 15 might be too strong and that is why it was frying.

your talking about the one that came with the kit right? i have a 10 on that one but our fog fuses are 15 under the hood in the fuse box (factory). that's the one that keeps frying. i'm not sure why because i'd never had problems w/ my hid's. this might not even have to do with them but nobody seems to have had this problem before.

Sounds like a short to me. But I wouldn't know how to go about finding it. I definitely would NOT put a bigger fuse in there though, if that thought had crossed your mind.

lol, it hadn't, but now it has :p .
i have no idea what it might be and if it's a short somewhere i'm no closer to finding it. i have to be replacing that stupid fuse often now.

I wonder if the ballast could cause it? Some type of malfunction maybe? I'm just throwing that out there.
