For the last few days, my 2003 LS V8 65,000miles has been acting up.
At idle vibrates, more like a shaking, and while accelerating there is a lot of hesitation.
I've changed the Spark plugs, and the fuel filter still the same.
I still have the original coils, should that be replaced????

And today on the way home the check engine light started flashing, when I stopped the car it went away..

Any suggestions.

Thank you

Make sure you don't drive it like that. You can damage your cats. $$$$$ Buy all 8 new and just do them all. Search here and you will see who peeps have used off ebay.

really, all of those symptoms usually mean bad coils and you started replacing other things first.

i am having a hard time believing that you have been a member for 5 years and have not come across a cornucopia of threads disusing this

and a flashing CEL means the damage is occurring to the cats, if the car continues to be driven, the repair bill will go up exponentially.

i dont think we have heard for certian if the Canadian cars qualify for the extended coil warranty, but its definitely worth a check to have the repairs done by ford on their dime.
