The previous owners of my '03 V8 bought it certified pre-owned. They kept the window sticker from their purchase (not the same as the original window sticker.) Under "Optional Equipment", it lists "Rental Program 56G". Autocheck history report shows it was originally titled as a rental vehicle. Does the Rental Program 56G reflect any actual differences in the car?

Second question regards trailer towing. I know the manual says you shouldn't, but I have a small 4x7 utility trailer that I used to haul my atv in with my 93 Regal (not exactly a towing powerhouse.) Does anyone tow with their LS? It would be under 1000 pounds.

Thanks! :Beer

Welcome FNG, thank you for not posting some idiotic question thats been covered here before.

No idea about the 56G package or whatever, I think Joe would be the one to ask about that.

Someone said they towed their jetski with the LS. Thats about all I know.

i believe the rental program 56g indicates that you will spend approximately 56 thousand dollars on maintenance for the ls...you son of a f*ck...f*ck you...

Welcome.

Justin00ls twos his boat.

I would never puchase a car that was part of a rental fleet. Becuase I know how those A$$holes drive rental cars. I'm one of em :D.

Never marry a hooker, never buy a rental car.

You probably don't want to stick your key into anything that's been driven that hard by that many people.

That statement applies to both. lol.

AFAIK, 56G is just a Ford accounting code for rental vehicles that are resold.
I've had good luck with the rental cars that I have bought in the past.

The people I bought the car from bought it CPO one year old with 14k on it. They loved the car and were only selling to get something new. They had all receipts for everything they did while they owned it including tranny servo, valve cover gaskets and one coil, new front pads and rotors - even the cabin air filter and a fresh oil change. I figured I was better off buying one where I knew most of the history, than one from a dealer who had no records at all or from an auction. After a whopping six days, I'm happy with it so far. Best part is, I've only ever seen two other Ls's in this town and they're both V-6's.
