just finished jmodding my car, and modified my tranny pan.

Drilled it and installed a drain plug, tranny temp gauge bung with temp sending unit, and then powdercoated it. Ready to be installed-

Nice! I did the drain plug mod on my '96. And I'm planning to do the same thing to the '97 next time I change the fluid/filter. It makes changing fluid/filter a WHOLE LOT less messy. It boggles my mind why a drain plug isn't standard on all automatic transmissions. The only auto tranny I've ever seen with a factory drain plug was my old '79 Toyota pickup.

Looks nice! I did something similar about a year ago, but I put my plug in a slightly different spot to reduce the chances of it getting banged and leaking all my fluid out!

Yeah I like that position. I have my bung/temp sender in the mail, I'll do a J-Mod next week most likely.

I also didn't put the drain plug on the bottom.

Looks great I did the same mod for my temp gauge, and my tranny in the 95 always ran 195-210 at the track

I put a temp gauge in the same spot, do you have any troubles with the drain plug hitting the filter intake?
