nay. You mean you tried to body match them? They look really oxidized or something. I don't mean to offend. Just letting you know exactly what I would interpret it as.

Dude, you been cool so dont take offense but I really dont know what to think about those at all. They look like you sanded them down and thats it. I know you got a cell phone camera and all but what color are they supposed to be?

Maybe primer them first, so you have a blank slate to work from, you know? Make sure it's a white or grey to start with, then lay down the paint. That would look better.

remember to clear coat them as well, so they shine the same as the rest of the paintwork. Otherwise they will still look "off"

my goal was to body match but the paint was used from some old paint that i sprayed my sdoor speaker cages with {basically a wild guess that the paint exactly matched the car}. and thanks for the advise on the primer and what-not. the reason why i did it is becase i picked up 2 extra side markers at the junk yard for free {along with a :q:q:q:q-load of other extras} the other day and said what the hell why not give it a shot...so don't think of it as a rigorious attempt. but thanx for you guys input...

Well normally if it was the no marker at all look I would really suggest taking it out and getting some materials to fill it in or dont mess with it at all but since you have the chrome bumper trim IMO you would have been better giving it a light smoke of some kind.

It looks like you have the Ivory Parchment Pearl Coat paint color on your car. I happen to have a fair amount of experience with that color. Got to paintscratch.com and order the 12oz. spray cans (primer coat, base coat, pearl coat and clear coat) in your color code. It is going to cost you about 50 bucks + shipping. You will never tell there was a marker there to begin with once you are finished. You could also paint those headlight bezels with the remaining paint.

Well if you cant get the sheets of headlight tint from online get a few scraps of light window tint.

I wouldnt do that b/c geting the film to lay "clean" around the curves of the side markers would be to much trouble.
I would mix some black into clear and them spry them if you want them tinted.

Really, I posted the trick before and a few say they have done it. I dont see why it wouldnt lay clean. Its almost like the film from places like Lamin-X.

i think smoke wouldve worked better...if you wanna do it a cheap and easy way (and easily removable) just get some spray on tint from a hobby shop, they use it for rc cars. if you dont like it it'll come off with rubbing alcohol, i used it for my brothers and a few friends cars and it worked great, then when they got pulled over and got a fix it ticket i just took it off, they got the ticket cleared up, then i resprayed them. it only takes like half an hour to do a good 5 coats or so and holds up pretty good except in snow...the salt from the road spray tears it off

has anybody ever used that chrome spray? i hate those freaking orange markers and thought that since i have the non sport bumpers that maybe trying to match the chrome look would be much better then body color or smoking.
