Finally found wheels...

I've been doing a lot of searching, and finally found the look I want in a wheel. I couldn't find anything that looked refined enough for my tastes, but found these. 18" made specifically for Jaguar S Type. I got prices on wheel/tire packages.

Chrome: 1800 + shipping
Silver: 1300 + shipping

What do you guys think?

The chrome is sweet, but:

- Too pricey for my tastes
- And what is up with all these wheels with allen heads!!!!

Still, though...very classy and sporty looking.

I actually like the silver better too. Personally, I think The "allen heads" need to be there to break up the monotony of the spoke design. But it's simple, refined, and sporty. Almost perfect

Hey Pektel, those wheels look nice, five-spoke is definately nice. I definately would go the chrome route, but $1800 for just the 18 inch wheels and no tires is a lot. I look forward to seeing what you end up with at our meet this spring.

Well... If it were a real two peace wheel then the allen screws would be useful. Looks like these are just for decor.

These look good. Assuming the offset would be perfect, what is the width of the wheel?

Those look pretty good. I'd go with the chrome, especially given the color of your LS, but that's just me. You've got to love 5-spoke wheels; they're much sportier looking. The 7+ spoked wheels don't belong on an LS. I was pretty surprised when they did away with the 5-spoke design, and all you could get (factory-wise) for the 2003-2006 was the 7+ spoked wheels.

Im fairly picky, and those wheels in an 18 would be PERFECT on an LS. Not the chrome (chrome WILL leak after awhile) but the silver. Nice 5 spoke design, nice deep dish lip. Perfect. Price is right as well

wheels are 18 x 8.5 with 42 offset. 1" lip on the 18's.

Those are really nice... 19x8.5 42 offset would be perfect.
You could always paint or powdercoat the centers too.

Do a google search on "chrome wheels leaking" (without the quotes). And spend about 5 minutes reading some of the google hits on that search. That should help convince you of which version to get.

I really like the look of the chrome, but with living in northern MN, and driving on gravel roads sometimes, I don't think they'd look good for long. Plus, an extra 125/wheel seems steep on 18's.

01lssport, Yes i think 19's would look better too, but tires are so damned expensive...

Now i just need to come up with some $$$!

Pektel, you have seen my car on chrome being that we have the same colors, definately the chrome will look sharper with the five spoke than silver. Yae I pondered the idea of 19s also but stuck with 18s. I would do an 18. I know what those roads can be like up in northern MN and having a little more rubber will be better.
