Finally a couple videos

When I watched the first video as you pulled away I started to smile.

When you came back around in the first video I noticed you had the rear window open and I started to laugh! :D

Your a sick individual! :D

The exhaust sounds great...after it "burns in" it will sound even better.

Thanks for sharing...I've been entertaining this setup for a while.

Sounds good. I hope you picked your friend up in the second video.

Sounds good! I'm looking at removing my mid muffler after hearing NickT88LSCs exhaust after we did my brakes. My car sounds good, but I hate hearing the motor over the car lol

Sounds great!
After listening to yours I checked through a bunch of the others to compare sounds. While the Magnaflows and Borlas have very different sounds, they are both very nice IMO. The flowmasters....lets just say I'm less then impressed. To each his own. With the price of Borla's...I'm sold on the Magna's.

Hey Pete, yae those videos are nice. It was nice to hear them in person too. I wanted you to know I did find a video from the meet but it had a lot of talking so I figured I would leave it off.

That's what I figured. I was just glad that day that I got to hear them from somewhere other than the driver's seat.

And Tom, I'm pondering the idea of removing the resonators too, simply because once it's above about 3K, It seems I can hear the motor more than the exhaust.

cut the mufflers off and run strait pipe... no more problems hearing the motor... I can't even hear my intake...

hope that doesn't give you the rasp noise i got from mine

NickTs has that raspiness. I'm gonna put another X pipe in place of the mid muffler to see if that helps any.

i took out my resonators and like the sound, however i do get a bit of raspiness in the high rpms. its not that annoying, but you can notice it if your outside the car. My second clip on youtube shows the sound with the rev limiter removed. You can expect raspiness on most V8 cars when running an x-pipe, NYC maybe you might want to consider trying an H-pipe if you want a deeper tone and to avoid rasp. plus i just wanna see what that set up would sound like on an LS :D

where can i get an H-pipe? i'm assuming they would have it at the place that does the muffler work right? i'm thinking of making the pipes bigger, would that fix it? i think Pete has bigger pips, but it's from res back tho

lol, just realized this was Pete's thread and i put "i think Pete has bigger pips, but it's from res back tho" when it clearly states it in the beginning, lol. sry Pete

NickT and I both have 2.5" pipes from the cats on back. We'll see what another X further down the system does just because I don't recall it being done on these cars yet.

What do you guys mean by raspiness? I have the full system, I think, I can go check sometime today and I don't recall any raspiness. I'm not the only one that drives the LS either some times my wife does and I have her get on it here and there when she leaves and all with it and I cant recall this sound you guys explain.Mine is just a low tone when at idle, its much louder than stock but its very low untill it gets up in RPM's then it has a rumble to it but never any raspiness.

Any muffler shop should have an h pipe or can weld one together. The magnaflow system comes with an x pipe and resonators, but i took mine out which is where the rasp came into play. i didnt notice any rasp either with the full system until i deleted my resonators.

Ahh ok, I had taken a look and saw that it was the complete kit as in it was not just Magnaflow mufflers and cats pieced together with other pipes. I guess that why I dont get this rasp sound.

would any of you suggest me putting the resonators back on to get rid of the raspiness? i still have them in the garage. it sucks that i paid to take them off and possibly will have to pay to put them back on, lol
