Finally: 03+ headlight retrofit on 02 (pics)

Did the conversion about a week ago. Took me about a good 2 hrs. The fogs I got from Ken a while ago. BTW: These were the Halogen lights with aftermarket 6000k hids.

The bracket ran me 170, which seemed a little high, and the lights ran me about 140. So total about $310.

Its pretty simple. But, you do need to take off the bumper. It was actually alot simpler than it looked, and yes all you need is the headlights and the bracket. You will also need to mod the wiring harness just a little.

The 2 front tires are wanli, some cheap temporary replacements I got when the 2 front tires got nails. Theyre POS and cant wait to replace them. They give off horrible road roise. Overall I would not recommend them to anyone.

Did you have to buy the mounting bar for the headlights??

A lot of people made it hard by trying to do it without removing the bumper but this way makes it a very simple swap

i heard that if u changed to the 03 plus lights that u would have a minimal gap between the lamp the the bumper.. is this true?

what is the difference between 03+ and 00-02 lights? I have 03 and am bummed that I can't put angel eyes in and clear the corners. Why would somebody want to put 03+ in their car?

I'm not saying they don't look good. I'm just curious why people do the swap. I never noticed the difference between the 2 other than you can't crack open the 03+ lights.

pull up an image of the 02 and 03 headlights and put them beside each other there is a difference i can assure u that. 03 lights look sleeker and look more aggressive

there is less chrome on the 03 and they have less orange.. i also believe they dont have the bulb covers either so the HID's shine more..
