final gearing ratio check?

i'm pretty sure i remember seeing this somewhere but i searched and couldn't pull it up... aren't there two different final gear settings for the LS? How can i tell if i have a 3.31 or 3.58? were those the two ratios? I have a 2000 LS V8..

It's stamped on the outside of the differential housing, right?

sounds right.. is it on the front or the back?

IIRC, it's not stamped on the housing, it's stamped on a metal tag that's on one of the punkin's bolts.
