Since when does FedEx bill you AFTER your package is delivered?

I created a couple shipments online over the weekend, and dropped them off at a FedEx authorized ship center. Tracking info still wasn't available as of today at noon, so I called them up. I also never got billed or had to enter any payment info to create the shipments...

Girl @ FedEx says they bill me after it is delivered? Never heard of this before, nor can I find anything online about it.

tha is weird. i always paid up front.

and i use fed ex because i've never had a problem. one idiot driver does not make for a bad company.
