Factory satellite radio antenna removal

Do any of you guys know how the satellite radio antenna is attached? I've got one on my trunk. Going back to the dealership tomorrow to see the guy who would know how to remove it, noone who was there today knew exactly how it was attached, but it looks like its adhesive tape of some kind.

The factory antenna is magnetic, and there's double-sided body tape under the "tail" that runs from the antenna. If yours is on the trunk, it's probably stuck with body tape, as well, since magnets don't stick well to aluminum.

FWIW, it's supposed to be on the roof; that "tail" runs from the antenna to the weather seal on the back glass, then the antenna lead follows it around and down to the trunk.

Thanks a lot for the info. I saw one that had it on the roof as well, I actually thought the trunk was a slightly better spot, but either way it's hideous and needs to go. Thanks a lot.
