Factory radio issue

Here is my problem...while taking my factory radio out,my volume control button popped off and I can't find it...I remember it was loose and had alittle shaft attached to it...is it anything I can do besides buying a new factory radio??I have a 97 mark lsc

what do u have?the piece or the radio,because I went to the dealer to c if I could buy the part and they said they didn't sell them...they also told me that the shaft isn't supposed to come off with the button...is this true?

if it poped off couldn't you go to the junk yard and pop one off

The shaft is definitely not supposed to come off....

I had issues with my gen 1 the button would not stay down or shut the radio off. Then my amp took a :q:q:q:q so I had that crappie sound the amp out makes and could not shut it off.

The volume knob must be changed by taking the face of the radio off. You will break the clips if you just pull one off and not be able to shut radio off hence antennia will always be up.

I bought a factory radio and amp on ebay, bought the raidio just for the button
