I am in the market for a V-8 LS and I am strongly considering a 2005 for sale locally. It appears to be a Ultimate since it has the chrome wheels and the wood shifter/steering wheel. However, it is missing the in dash CD changer, back up sensors, and HID lamps. I thought all of these were standard on the ultimate.

The only thing that really bothers me is the lack of the CD changer. Can someone confirm that the CD changer was standard on the V-8? Is the wiring the same between the single CD player and CD changer? In order words, could I just purchase a changer radio off Ebay and pop it in?

Thanks.

The V6 is the only one with a single CD player and will also have a cassette player. The V8 either have 6 disc in dash or Nav. Extended rear park assist and HID are optional.

Sounds like a V8 sport model. If U pm the VIN # 2 me I can tell you exactly what it was built with.

All 2005 V8 came with either 6 in dash disc or nav. Extended rear park assist and HID are optional on the Sport and Ultimate, according to sales brochure.
