factory alarm malfunction

93 Mark VIII, alarm all of sudden goes off one minute after locking the car with the key fob. It does this every time, and I forced to unlock it. Any ideas?

is your door pins or dome lights working properly? that may trigger it

Good luck. At least you can use your fob; My car can't even keep a fuse that controls that and the dome lights and locks etc.

That's a sweet color you got there. Mine is also a pretty rare Midnight Opal color.

Check the hood pin if it has quit working that will set off the alarm.

+1 on hood pin. mine broke a while back. i just unplugged it and it quit.

I just unplugged the alarm module behind the glove box.
Remote still works just so you know.

You can also just push the plunger down my hand to lock the door. It won't arm the alarm. My 93 only goes off if it is colder than 50 degrees outside.

that sucks, gotta take a day look for the short.maybe 2 days.
