F the Hemi !!

A truck with a Hemi is going to vary alot depending on model. A short box/std cab 2wheel is going to move out way faster than 4door/ 4x4.

I raced a 4x4 4door Hemi model with my 4.6 98 F150 and its weak 220hp. Its a reg cab/short box/no option truck...as light as a full size can get. Neck and neck. A Hemi same equiped would walk it.

A LS should beat any of the models though.

This particular Dodge Hemi was only a 2 door regular cab model, dont really know if it was a 4x4 or not. But it was kinda pimped out the way them rednecks like to do their trucks up.

A typical Dodge Hemi truck driver thinks its fast even if its a big 4 door 4x4 with 300lb cap and his belongings in the back. Thats where a diesel comes in to go fast.

Based on the fact the 5.7 Hemi Charger, 300M and Magnums can barely beat a LS, even the smallest full sized truck should come up short against a LS...2nd Gen more so.

I really don't care too much about the truck you beat. It is far more satisfying that you beat a dickhead no matter what he was driving. :D

Diesels are usually the quickest stock and can be made fast. Saw Pinks the other day and they had a cummins dodge run 10.5s spinning all four DRs off the line.

The Charger/300M/Magnum are just to damn heavy. But just trying to drive like a jerk and get ahead of the OP in his LS I'd put money on a 2 door hemi in 4wd.

Charger/300"C" not M/and Magnums are heavy but a truck will weigh more. And racing in 4wd will slow that Hemi down alot....unlike a diesel.

1/4 mile yes I agree but a stock hemi ram will 60' about the same as an LS. And the Ram isn't that easy to launch without a LSD either. Throw the hemi in 4wd load the converter and it will rip of the line for a 5000lb truck turn the 4wd off by 100' and I'll bet you'll take the average driver in a Gen2. A 2 door leaving in 2wd it's a drivers race with a Gen1 but the LS should trap better.

Not trying to trash the LS. The Rams are heavy but have almost 100hp over a Gen1.

None of this changes that fact that there are to many jerks who think there 5000lb trucks are fast and try and drive them like sports cars.

Not to mention that just cause you have a fast car or truck doesnt' mean you know how to drive it.....
