My car has had the airbag light on for about a year, never bothered me. The code was 3-2. Then my radio button on the steering wheel broke like 4 months ago so I couldn't raise the volume up or down, or change stations using the steering wheel. I could always raise the volume on the radio and change stations but now the actual raise volume button broke. It wouldn't click, the volume down would click but now station wouldn't change. I have always thought it was the clockspring.

Today I changed the steering wheel, my old one was fading and I wanted to fix the radio buttons. I didn't have the money to change the clockspring, so I was going to do it next week. I got the steering wheel on there and the radio buttons on the steering wheel work and I can change stations.

But now the airbag light code changed. Now its 3-6, not 3-2. Could this still be clockspring?

defintely clockspring. Fairly straightforward DIY repair. DO a search..the instructions are somewhere on this forum.
