hey what do you guys think about extended warranty for a 02 lincoln ls. is it good or not. would you guys pay the extra cash because i see the lincoln ls has a lot of problems.

Do not hesitate to buy one. Love the car but it can be a drain on the wallet. I bought one from carchex.com. Carfax.com had an ad for them.

I can send you the info of the rep I worked with if you want. They offer 12 months 0% finance if you decide to go with them. It is a very comprohensive warranty with a 100 dollar deductible.

I had an aftermarket extended warranty on my forst LS and it more than paid for itself and Lincoln never had a problem with the claims. To me it was a no brainer when I decided to buy this 03 LS that I have now.

I got one when I picked up my 03 a coupla months ago. Covered for another 3 years/36000 miles. The car had 48k when I bought it.

yea i had bought one for 12 month finance with 0% also. it was for 5 yrs. 100 thousand miles i think? i have 48000 on a 02 ls right now. with a $50 deductable. i had already paid it off so thats good also

When my 2002 LS V8 Sport was about out of warranty at 49993 I checked with fordwarrantys.com and was offered a 7 year 100,000 mi Basecare Warranty with $50deductible for $1660. I asked my local dealer if they would match that price and they did. This is the first extended warranty I have bought, but it makes me sleep better at night. Normally I would not buy one, but for the LS I would recommend you consider it. However, my car has over 56K with no major problems.

I picked up the Ford ESP when I bought the car. It was approximately $1700 w/ 0% financing for 12 months. Covered for 4/48k with $0 ded.

I bought my car with just under 49k, paid for the 3yr/36k extended warranty($2200), it paid for itself within the first month of owning the car($3502.51 parts + labor).

it was america warranty sorry for the long wait to answer

they can be great... they can also be almost useless. You just have to get a good one.

The problem with after market warranty companies is they can repair your car with used parts. (junkyard engines, transmissions etc.)

Do you guys have a recommended dealer to buy/price factory extended warranties online? I remember shopping around a while back and finding one place and it was like half the price of most others. But now I can't remember the website!! :slam

I just got a flyer in the mail, Warranty Acceptance Corporation. Their website is www.warrantyacceptancecorporation.com

This excerpt is from their website, tell me what you think. also they said they don't cover valve cover gaskets, spark plugs or ignition coils AND do you think this would cover the valve body?
