Copious amounts of WD40 or a similar lubricant.

On my gen1 the rear most hangers can be unbolted while the others I used regular dish soap. I push the rubber away from the end then apply a good amount of soap to the end of the hanger. I then move rubber towards the end of the hanger and wiggle it around to spread the soap. I then put one, or both of my thumbs on the end of the hanger and pull the rubber towards my thumbs with my fingers. Once you get the rubber over the end the rest comes off real easy.

Copious amounts of white lithium grease, or, use your muscles maybe? :shifty:

lol ya i finally got them off with muscles and help from one of those quick clamp things. But does anyone know the plus/minus of running opening cats/h-pipe?

I have only one minus to report. No burt valves or anything. I did that to my 03' eclipse v6, my brother 07' v6 mustang, my other brothers 03' I4sebring, and my dad's 01' 5.4l F-150. Everyone loves having it off except that the sebring get's annoying on longer trips so he wants me to gut his muffler and put it back on. That was the one minus. I didn't want to do it to my LS because I feel a luxury car shouldn't be that loud and boy was it loud when i took it off to put the magnaflow on.

ya lol i drove around last night with open h-pipe and its so beastly, but i can i see where it might get annoying and attract a lot of attention especially from the police here in california.
