I figured i start a thread for everyone to report on their mark, status and begining to present. For me ive got a sideways pick of earlier today that i feel privelaged to have the ability to take. My 94 mark has come a long way ending the day with 242609 on the clock. so far just tinkered with the exhaust and cold air. But im saving thousand to invest in her. Lets see what you got.

My 96 just turned 100,000 and my 98 LSC is at 88,000. My 95 LSC blew the secondary timing tensioner off at 167,000 after over 150 track passes and countless abuse on the streets with 4.30 gears.

when i bought mine all it needed was a power steering pressure line, water pump, (bearings were grinding) a idler pulley, and the gasket for the oil filter plate. since then all i did replacment wise, fuel filter, plugs and o2s. Runnin strong i drive her about 2000 more or less a week, not one problem i also just got my best tank of gas ever with it 372.4

My Mark

Bought my '94 on E-bay for $2700 one year ago. Since then added tint, K&N, stereo head unit, tires, front air bags, plugs, synthetic fluids and TLC.
Car now has 106K and runs good. I've got a new climate control(bad buttons), white face gauges, door sill plates, driving lights to install. Next mods are exhaust, rear wing, cobra hood and wheels.
I use the car for work- I travel all over and its the nicest, quietest road car I've ever had.

Ive got 134K and 373s W/tracloc, 255Lph fuel pump, under-drive pulleys, shift kit, coil conversion, all new ball joints, lower engine cradle brace, cold air intake, 90mm lightning MAF, 2.5 exhaust inch from the cat back, 100 shot dry kit, new HIDs, New paint, 18s, and sniper tuned! The car still feels strong!

ideally, to all of us who have cars above 100k. if the compression is still good, and you take good care of it, should it still lose power because of age? i know parts loosen up after a while with age, but at what point does the car start losing power>?

You saw the mileage that ive got up top and i now have 243+++ (thats sad its been a day) As long as the proper maintnence is perform the car will last foreever, the only problem ive consintly heard of is people blowing out plugs and lifter taps, fuel pump fuel filter changes make a huge difference and restore a decent amount of power, if stock exhaust kept the cats are nuts, i took 3rd cat out a couple weeks ago (put in h pipe) and weighed it. 14.3 lbs. one the car is a hell of alot louder and seemed to pick up some more power.

Mine has been out of commission for a while. Spark plug blew out. After debating for 2 months on selling the car, I fixed the problem, drove the car and another plug blew out. Fixed that one and replaced the NGK's with OEM Motorcrafts. Put 60 miles on the car and she feels fine. Car has 149k on it. It needs front end work then I want to put some rims on the car. Then maybe a new engine and trans. I think I am goin to keep the car for the long haul.

just turned over 70k on my 98 mark. only thing i had done was exhaust, lowered, tint, removed air silencer and wheels.
Im in the process of tuning my asham8....pain in th neck to get it right!!!!

I've been workin on it for the past 3 nights! see the "asham8 ordered" thread, and if anyone can help id appreciate it. problems are listed on that thread

I also forgot to add someone nailed my car in philly, i was delivering paperwork and someone nailed my driverside door and of course no body knows nothin. 6 big dents and my moling is shot, ill put the picks up. Stupid f***in peice of doo doo!!! My body was as straight as could be and some jerk off screwed it up..

Yeah this is it. Ill take a better pic tomorrow, you cant tell from these that there is 6 dents and my whole trim peice looks like the ocean in a hurricane (very very wavy) Im almost 100% sure it was a taxi. The tire mark is what actually peeled my trim

1995 Lincoln Mark VIII

My girl has 120k on her now & still runs like a champ! Origional engine, trans & rear end. She has always started right up & never gave me any problems yet. Just normal mainenance like synthetic oil changes, trans service, tune up, etc. She is lowered quite a bit so the inner tread on the tires do wear out faster but that's expected with a lowered car with 4 wheel independant susp. Stock stereo & 10 disc still work great as does everything else.

She has been sensor lowered, got new 18" wheels & tires, deleted the resonator & both rear mufflers & went straight pipes with 24" chrome tips, transmission oil cooler, Air intake silencer removed & air box opened up, 93 ECM, Limo tinted windows, flashing 3rd brake light, new housings & HID headlights, blacked out front & rear emblems, Blacked out chome molding stripe, black brake calipers, new air bags upfront & new shocks in the rear.

Next will be some custom sub frame connectors & maybe one day she will get a J-mod & a small shot of nitrous (75-100) That's if she has been a good car though!

I have owned this car for just about 2 1/2 years now & have really enjoyed it. She still gets looks & turns heads.

165,000 and going strong. Just had a tuneup and tranny flushed, runs like a champ. Love this car.

Just bought my 98 LSC almost a month ago. She has 111k on her and nothing wrong besides the Blend door problem, but since it's stuck on heat and I live in Chicago, it can wait until spring arrives. The only other thing I really need is an Octastar center cap as one of them is chipped.

Just to respond to your pics of the door...

I WOULD KILL OVER THAT!!! People can be such uncurtious pieces of crap sometimes! Hopefully you can get her repaired or find a new door.

Lets see... bought it, drove it for 40k, trans lost 3rd and 4th at 118k, fuel pump took a crap ~100mi later. Now I'm waiting for it to warm up to throw some my friends old trans and a fuel pump in it, then it goes to my dad as a highway commuter car.

I've got a line on a fairly nice 94 I might pick up if I can get it for cheap enough... otherwise my Thunderbird SC is as close to a VIII as I'll get.

Well - Car Historys can be found by clicking on links in my sig.

My 93 has 221,000 miles purchased with 159,000 miles: only mods are a K&N Panel filter and Strutmaster Standard Height Air Ride Conversion Kit. Car runs great... is used as my daughter's daily drive at college. Interior needs some going over but in pretty good shape. Rocker have cancer but I'm going to try and have them cured this summer.

My 94 has 159,000 miles won off eBay with 128,000 miles diamond in the rough at time of purchase. Sold to Scott9050 and repurchase back from Scott9050

Mods - True Duals, LMS MAF, Cold Air Intake with K&N Cone Filter, Ford Racing 9mm Spark Plug Wires (Thanks Max), American Air Suspension 1.5" Lowerd Air Ride Conversion Kit. 14.6 quarter before mods. Kenwood Head unit with Kenwood 10 disc changer, Infinity 6.5" Round Speakers.

This car is a great runner...

This is my wifes daily drive... and also a great runner... Loves to give a nice squak moving into 2nd gear.

do you still have the sport wheels from the bird?

98 Lsc Silver frost, bought it with 25,000 miles in 7-2002 for 20k
Got stolen with about 30,000 miles 11-2002 :(
Was recovered in one piece 4 months later (must have been some joyriders)
But insurance co. gave it a salvage title due to theft and auctioned

98 Lsc Black on Black bought it with 92,000 in 2005
Replaced everything that typically goes wrong with these cars but could not get the heat to work! eventually I
Traded it in with 123,000 in 9-2007:Bang
