I have a 2004 LS with the 3.9 and I am having troubles with the failsafe mode. My problem is that I have no issues until I turn the car off. Once I turn the car off, I can not restart it because it is in failsafe mode. A few times it has lasted all night into the next morning and it finally came out of failsafe mode. I do not have any rough idle or misfire issues. The car does shift very harsh after it warms up but it doesnt bother me enough to dig into the problem. I have heard that it could be the solenoids or the pcm...either way it is more money than I want to throw at it. My biggest concern is the damn car not starting back up and sticking itself into failsafe mode. Its driving me nuts and has caused me to buy a new truck so this weekend I can park it until I figure out the problem or just sell it. Anyone know what the hell this could be? I have replaced all 8 COPS and all 8 spark plugs. Still does the same crap.
