There has been a continuing conversation here regarding the work necessary to install a 'different' engine in an LS. It's not completely on point, but there's a detailed thread on the Jaguar Forum (Google jaguarforum) regarding installing a 3 litre six from an LS into an 'X' Jag instead of the 2.5 that came from the factory.

It makes sense to read and study it, not particularly for the details, but to see how really easy it is to do such crossbreeding. He lists the parts that need to be exchanged, because the 'packaging' is not completely duplicated.

If you look it over, you'll see why I've been saying that the AJ engine in my garage is going to go into my '02 LS without major brain-busting. (See 'Land Speed LS')

Man I thought I was computer bad!! LOL When you go to that thread. You should see the address in your browser space,on aol its on top of page. Left click in the browser box at end of address, this will highlight address. Then right click in same spot, up will pop a command box, click "copy". Now come in here and just like you responded to me,just right click, up pops command box ,now click "paste" Now the link is in the post to all use. Not to say to do it for me but might be nice practice for ya. I hated not knowing how to do stuff.

I saw you guys posted over there, looks like the thread has been quiet since November and the OP never came back to answer any of the other guys questions / give an update.

I'd be worried how good the engine was is it was only $100. But you never know, sometimes you get lucky.
