Engine Swap

Once my '01 Sig goes out of warranty (75K miles, CPO car), I'm wanting to do an engine swap, and replace the stock engine with a 98-02 Conti engine. I presume that the engine and tranny will slide right in.

Would this be possible? Anything I should be aware of?

Yes you should be aware that your Towncar is rear wheel drive and the Continental is front wheel drive, which makes swapping them next to impossible. You would be better off finding a Mustang engine or some other 4.6. Maybe a Quad cam out of a Mark VIII.
