Engine Swap for a 97 - Which conti yrs will direct swap without modification

What model year engines will direct swap into my 97 without any sort of modification??

I'm not 100% sure but I think 99? and up came with c heads. Not sure if that is a issue or not.

Most likely 95-97 since in 98 through 02 they changed the heads among other changes resulting in a 15hp boost.
