ok got a leak on the back of the motor... looks like the back of the intake... is there any sensors behind the intake manifold....

I'm guessing valve cover only because its running down both sides and dripping off the bell housing going to look more tomorrow.. trying to see if anyone has yet to have this problem..

Don't think there are any sensors that have to do with oil back there. You might have blown out the end seal on the back of the intake manifold. That should be fun to fix. You'll probably want to invest in a service manual for more info on that one.

did it leak out of the valve cover thought... I thought it just leaked on to the plugs... not down the back of the engine..??

Would a bad intake manifold gasket cause the leak? A previous car of my girlfriend's had a leaky intake manifold gasket, and leaked oil down the side of the block. 350 dollar fix. On a 96 monte carlo. Which means on an LS it'll be 350 for the part, and 1200 for labor ;) I've never torn down any engine, so I'm just guessing.

Intake mani gaskets leak all the time on cars, so it's just a matter of time with the LS I would think. 5.0s were notorious for leaking and making it look like a rear main seal was the problem.

from what i can see, the lincoln has a air gap style intake... it doesnt seal to the front and rear of motor... just to the cylinder heads...

Could be, I don't know as Ive never had one part. There could still be a cover over the valley between the cylinder heads though. But like I said I don't know for sure Ive never had one apart.
