Where to begin?
Background information, about a month ago, when accelerating, my check engine light began to flash, 5 minutes later, it shut off. After research, I thought that either my COP, plugs or something to do with the fuel was the problem. The stuttering continued until one day the Check Engine light came on and stayed. I went to AutoZone and had the code read, it said random misfire, misfire cylinder 3. I then took it to a shop and had 8 boots and 8 plugs replaced along with a new fuel filter.
Sputter continued, the mechanic thought it was the transmission, took it to Certified Transmission and it check out good, nothing wrong.
Took it to another mechanic to have tests ran; found that 2 coils were bad and replaced coils 3 and 4 along with replacing the spark plugs.
After all of that, my vehicle still stutters around 40- 70 MPH and only when I slightly accelerate. I do not have loss of power when I step on it.
I am at a loss of words here, I have no idea what it could be, since all of the engine work, no check engine light has come on and when I floor my car, it seems normal, appropriate power and no stuttering, just only when I barley accelerate.
Any ideas?
